Students will be able to write and recognize words that begin with the short A sound.
Introduction
(5 minutes)
- Hold up an object that starts with the letter A.
- Ask students if they know what the object is called. Then, have them say the word aloud as a group or call on a student to share.
- Tell the students that the word (e.g., Abacus) starts with the letter A. Today students will be thinking all about the letter A.
